Well, 4shared seems to be the most downloader friendly. They do have elves behind the scenes that sometimes make your files all weird so that people write you emails and say why doesn't this work???? JMO, of course.
I've noticed a lot of people using 4shared, although I do hate elves!
I'll check them out and perhaps just try to use both. It would be a good way to see which one is more elf-less!

4Shared has its good points and bad - but so does everyone else. I think their biggest strong point is the comments. Not much on elves! hehe RapidShare is a problem - it doesn't always work with Firefox - and if you want more than one file that is hosted on RapidShare you get an "Over your basic limit within a 24 hour period - upgrade to premium to download" message.
Since i have my own server now - I mainly use that - 4Shared and MediaFire are both alternates I use. MediaFire is so cool because you don't have to sign up to download MediaFire - but if you do sign up - it's free and you can easily just transfer the mediafire hosted file from the designer account to yours and then come back later to download at your convenience - so that is way cool!
